Research:
An investigation into Traditional Japanese Joinery and the different types of joints which can be used in timber contraption, analysing the way that they can be modelled digitally as well as on equipment such as the laser cutter and CNC machine.
Proposal:
A Japanese Table inspired by the latticework at the The Carpenters Line Exhibition at Japan House in Kensington, London.
The CNC machine and research into timber joints heavily informed the design and construction of each element.
Skills:
Rhino
CNC Machine
Laser Cutting
3D Printing
